Jake & Dan in the new Skateboard Mag

Sunday Team Rider and Skate Mental Am Dan Plunkett is featured in the First Things First article that documents some of his First Of experiences. On the same page Sunday Rider and Real Skateboards Am Jake Donnelly is featured in the MyPod section, so you can see what Jake is listening to these days. New Nike SB Quickstrikes + More!

Two surprise Nike SB Quickstrikes showed up to the shop today. Both shoes are inspired by the popular TV show LOST. First up is the Oceanic Airlines Flight 815 SB Dunk Hi Pro. This Dunk's colors are inspired by the fictional Oceanic Airlines Flight 815 plane that crashes which gives the base storyline of the show. The insoles of the Dunk feature sonar readings of trying to locate the lost plane. The second quickstrike that showed up is the DHARMA Initiative Blazer SB. This shoe bases it's colors off the DHARMA Initiative Jumpsuits worn by characters in the show. The back label SHOE comes from everything being labeled what it actually is in the show (e.g. FOOD, WATER, BEER). As always with quickstrike shoes, these are super limited so get em before they're gone! Oh, and speaking of Nike SB, make sure you check the Nike SB site this Monday, as part II of the Don't Fear The Sweeper Tour Video will be posted, featuring footage from their stop in Buffalo!

Also new in the shop are Anthony Van Engelen's newest pro model on Vans, the AV6. AVE's new shoe takes one of the best toe design's in skateboarding from the Vans Classic Era and meshes it with the classic look of the Vans Old Skool to create a new timeless, functional skate shoe. These shoes also feature Vans Ortho-Lite insoles for optimum support and comfort. Also be sure to check out the Spring 2010 Real catalog over at DLXSF. Oh, and for anybody wondering what's been going on with the progress of a public skatepark in the city, make sure you check out this article over on the Buffalo News. When we opened up the shop today, we were greeted with the delivery of a shipment of brand new Nike SB shoes. This shipment includes a classic timeless Dunk Mid Pro SB colorway, a new colorway in the SB Bruin (as seen in Cory Kennedy's Welcome to Nike SB ad), an all-new Zoom Stefan Janoski colorway in a leather upper making for a more substantial and durable shoe, as well as new Blazer SBs, and last but least Zoom Air Paul Rodriguez IIIs. A couple awesome videos coming in!

This Friday, January 8th we have a couple anticipated videos coming into the shop. First up is the Girl/AntiHero Beauty and the Beast 2 tour video. This one is sure not to disappoint with some standout skating from familiar faces (Brian Anderson, Eric Koston, Julien Stranger) from the last tour as well as some fresh ones (Chris Pfanner and Vincent Alvarez). We also have a restock of the February 2010 issue of Thrasher Magazine. Sunday/Nike SB team rider and Skate Mental am Dan Plunkett has a photo in the Nike SB "Unleashed in the East" article. The mag comes with a free hour long dvd, with full parts from Sammy Baca, David Gravette, Devin Apello, Nick Trapasso, and Andrew Allen. Make sure to keep an eye out for Sunday team rider and Real Skateboards am Jake Donnelly's footage in the "Skate & Destroy" Real team montage in the video! Some Recent Goings-On!

We hope you all had a wonderful holiday, the chance to relax and appreciate the little things doesn't come by too often so you have to take advantage of it when it does. Tons of things have been going on, for starters our very own Jake Donnelly has a full interview in the February 2010 issue of Skateboarder Magazine. You can check out the photos from the interview on our front page. Jake also has footage in the new adidas skateboarding SF web video. Also, in other magazine news Sunday/Nike SB team rider and Skate Mental AM Dan Plunkett has a 2-page photo in the February 2010 issue of The Skateboard Mag. You can check that out on the front page as well. Speaking of Nike SB and our front page, if you happen to get the new Wieger enjoi ad when you visit the shop site, that's no mistake. That photo was shot in the Anchor Bar right here in Buffalo right after JP bought those guys one of the infamous Anchor Bar Chicken Wing hats. As luck would have it, it is now the current enjoi ad. Last but not least, it looks like friend of the shop/Skate Mental pro Brad Staba gave us a shout-out over on the Skate Mental website in the news section. All-New Adidas!

Some awesome new Adidas shoes have shown up, right in the nick of time! This shipment of Adidas includes a new colorway of the Dennis Busenitz Pro. The insole on these Busenitz shoes, features artwork by the artist Delfi. Also, new to the lineup is the Adidas Original Skate. The Skate is Adidas original skate shoe from the 70s and has been been reintroduced to their line. As you can see with the popularity of vulcanized sole among skateboarders, and shoes like the Skate, skate shoes have come full circle. Also in this Adidas shipment, a restock of the classic Black/White Campus Vulcs and a new colorway of the Campus Vulc Mid. As anybody who has/is skating Adidas knows they are great right out of the box skate shoes, with super good board feel, grip, and durability. Happy Holidays!

Merry DLX-Mas & New Sunday Apparel

The UPS guy showed up today with a ton of boxes of stuff from guys over at DLX. We are completely restocked on Thunder Trucks and Spitfire Wheels as well as all the newest boards from the DLX camp including the No League Series and Real Happy Holiday decks. Oh, we also got a bunch of the BUFFAREAL shirts back in as well!

As, for anyone wondering when we were gonna have new Sunday hoodies, well they're here! Along with them are new Sunday crew neck sweathshirts. All this new Sunday apparel just in time for the crazy weather we've been having! Oh, and last but not least the new Zero video "Strange World" and new Slave video "Radio Television" came in as well. December Nike SB & More!

Just in time for the holidays, the December shipment of Nike SB shoes & apparel arrived at the shop today. This month's line-up consists a full line of collaborative apparel by Nike SB & Skate Mental, including a hockey jersey that looks like something from the movie Slap Shot, a winter parka with hidden pockets to hide a 6-pack of beer, as well a limited edition SB Dunk Hi Premium, all designed by friend of the shop/Skate Mental owner Brad Staba. This month's shoes also feature a new model in the Zoom Classic SB High, as well as a Zoom Stefan Janoski SB Premium, Dunk Low Pro SB, Bruin SB, and last but not least a Zoom Air Veloce.

In addition to the aforementioned Nike SB shipment, these new Adidas Campus Vulc shoes showed up at the shop. In other Adidas news, Adidas/Sunday Team Rider Jake Donnelly celebrates his birthday this Sunday, December 6th in Tampa, skating the Tampa Am Contest. Good Luck and Happy Birthday Jake, We Love Ya! Lastly in shoe arrivals at the shop, these new Cons ERX-300 shoes came in. CONS shoes come sporting Tempur-Pedic Memory Foam in the tongue and collar for superior comfort, protection, and fit. New stuff has been showing up at the shop daily! Today in our weekly board restock the all-new Chocolate Bar Series arrived along with the brand new Digital Skateboarding video F.Y.I. After a quick viewing at the shop, it was unanimously decided that this was one of the best videos to come out this year. We also recieved a restock of the new Real No League Series as well as Thunder Trucks. November Nike SB Quickstrikes!

This Saturday, November 14th we will be releasing 2 Nike SB Quickstrike shoes the much anticipated "Gucci" SB Dunk HI Premium as well as the Nike SB X HUF Blazer Premium SB Special Edition. The Gucci Dunk Hi was designed by Girl Skateboards team manager Sam Smyth and feature his tag name RESN on the tongue from his tagging days in SF. These Nike SB Blazer SB Special Editions are a collaboration with HUF Skateshop in SF. They are exclusive to HUF Skateshop, but the guys at Nike were cool enough to hook us up with a limited run as well! As with all Quickstrikes, these are super limited and highly anitcipated, so make sure you get a spot in line early!

November Nike SBs in stock now!

The November line-up of Nike SB shoes arrived at the shop today and as always they did a spectacular job. This month's shoes include the "Bloody Gums" SB Dunk Hi Premium a colorway inspired by what you might see when brushing your teeth if you have a gum disease or just simply brush too hard. Other sneakers in this month's shipment include an SB Dunk Mid Premium, Blazer SB, Zoom Air Bruin SB, Zoom Air Harbor SB, and last but not least a Zoom Air P-Rod III. Also, our weekly board order came in today, with some awesome boards from Real, Antihero, and Toy Machine among others and a restock in Ace and Thunder Trucks. New Cons, Etnies, and Emerica in stock!

Alright, so as of late tons of new stuff has been showing up here at the shop, and today brings us some new Converse CONS, as well as new shoes from Etnies and Emerica. In the CONS shipment we have 2 new colorways of the Pro Leather Skate, and a new colorway in the Revere II Mid. CONS shoes feature Tempurpedic Memory Foam in the tongue and collar, for support and comfort, and also are made with thinner outsoles and a thick insole, so you still have board feel, but are protecting your feet at the same time! The sole tech (es, Etnies, and Emerica) shipment brings us the all new Etnies Barge, a favorite among the etnies team (Sean Malto, Tyler Bledsoe, and Davis Torgerson to name a few) for its full length padded sole along with sole tech's new insole that offers greater comfort and a better fit. Along with the Barge, we have Etnies Dill Mids, a new Emerica Hsu colorway, and a restock on blacl/white suede Reynolds Cruisers!

Nike SB October QuickStrikes & Restocked Vans Classics

This month's Nike SB Quickstrikes arrived at the shop today, and will be released this Saturday, October 17th at Noon. This month the quickstrikes are the highly anticipated "Brain Wreck" SB Dunk Hi Premium by skate artist Todd Bratrud (also designed the Send Help Dunk Hi) and "Blood Splatter" Blazer SB Premium. The closest shops to get these are in NYC and Boston and with both sure to fly out of the shop, make sure you get there early on Saturday.

Also, as of today we are restocked on all of the Vans Classics that offer the perfect grip for the upcoming slippery skatepark season.

Also this Friday along with our weekly board restock, Flip's new DVD Extremely Sorry will be available. Standout parts include the legendary Lance Mountain, Bob Burnquist, and Geoff Rowley. October Nike SB x Nike SB Team in Buffalo!

Well, the October Nike SB order showed up today and boy do we have a bunch of shoes for this month. For starters we are restocked on the classic Black/White Blazer SB and "Griptape" SB Dunk Mid Pro. Along with these there is an Aquamarine/Electric Lime Blazer Premium SB, an updated Zoom Air Classic SB (lower profile soles/double layer ollie protection), a Royal Blue/Black Dunk Mid Pro SB, a Halloween themed Dunk Low Premium SB based on old fashioned paper Halloween decorations made right here in Buffalo NY, as well as new colorways in the Zoom Air P-Rod III and Zoom Air Tre AD. As you can see we're pretty well stocked up with a ton of awesome new stuff from Nike SB. Oh, and keep checking back here because we should be getting the Brainwreck Dunk Hi Quickstrikes and they'll be posted as soon as we do!

Oh, and speaking of Nike SB, in case you weren't around or didn't hear, the rumors are true, the whole Nike SB team (with the exception of Koston, P-Rod, and Lance Mountain) rolled through town last week filming for their latest HD film project by Jason Hernandez (filmer/editor of Debacle and Transworld videos such as First Love, Let's Do This!, and A Time to Shine) and basically to just hang out for a few in days in between stops on their Don't Fear the Sweeper tour. Highlights of their visit include watching Alien Workshop pros Grant Taylor and Omar Salazar skate Shoshone pool, which for those who have gone there, know it is not the easiest spot and the stuff they were doing was unheard of! Also long time pals Brian Anderson and Brad Staba wanted to just hang out at the shop all day and "feel like 14 year-olds again" and watch skate videos, read the latest skate mags, and skate in front of the shop. All in all it seemed like everyone had a great time, and all the guys from Nike were super nice, humble, and completely down-to-earth. That brings me to something I came across today in my internet wanderings, Sunday/Nike SB team rider and new Skate Mental Am Dan Plunkett has an interview over on the ESPN website! Crazy, right? Check it out, here.

I'm leaving for New York City tomorrow to get some last-of tricks for the video with some of the guys, so anything that comes in will be posted when I get back. All New Hardgoods in the Shop!!

With nice weather coming up this weekend the shop has been completely restocked with all new stuff. The latest boards from 5Boro, Alien Workshop/Habitat, Girl/Chocolate/Skate Mental have just arrived. Also a DLXSF (Real, Krooked, Anti-Hero, Spitfire, and Thunder) order has just shown up, including new Real pro Justin Brock introductory pro models. As always, all pro boards are $50 w/ free Jessup Grip. With the DLX order comes a restock on pro truck designs from Thunder including Dennis Busenitz, Chris Cole, Mark Appleyard, and Johnny Romano to name a few. For those of you who want other options, we also have the newest Ricta, AutoBahn, and Bones wheels, as well as the new Stage 9 Independent Trucks with forged steel baseplates that make the trucks lighter & stronger, throw some Bones Bushings in them and your good to go! New Adidas Busenitz Pro x Dan & Jake in TWS!

A ton of things have been going on at the shop, but with JP out of town recently and myself being busy we have haven't gotten a chance to update so expect a couple in the next few days! New Adidas Dennis Busenitz Pro Models have arrived at the shop in Brown/Gum. The Busenitz sports a GeoFit collar to make the shoe a perfect fit, and tongue based off of the an adidas classic, the Samba. This is a popular shoe, with limited availability get em while you can!

Also, if you haven't picked up or seen the "November 09 Transworld", you're missing out on some cool articles featuring Sunday team riders Dan Plunkett & Jake Donnelly. Dan, Jake and new Real pro Justin Brock (Whose new pro model boards sold out the first day they were in the shop, more available this Thursday) are featured in an article on a camping/skate trip they went on recently. Nike SB September Quickstrikes!

This month has 2 Quickstrike offerings from Nike SB, the "Sub Pop" Blazer Elite SB and Sport Red Zoom Air P-Rod III SB. The Sub Pop Blazers are inspired by Sub Pop Records, a record label started in 1986 out of Seattle, Washington. Sub Pop is credited with introducing the world to the early 90's "grunge rock" movement and also with launching the careers of bands such as Nirvana, Modest Mouse, and Dinosaur Jr.
As always with quickstrikes these are super limited and are only around once, so grab em' while you can!

September Nike SB has arrived!

The complete Nike SB September line-up showed up to the shop today. This month's shipment sports very wearable colorways of six SB shoes, including the "Rat Fink Dunk Low SB". This shoe is inspired by the "Rat Fink" character created by custom car builder/cartoonist Ed Roth. New stuff has been arriving at the shop daily, I'm going to New York for about a week, so any new stuff will be up when I get back!

Jason Stankiewicz "In An Instant" Polaroid Photo Show

This Friday, August 28th shop family member Jay Stankiewicz will be hosting a photo show at the Grant St. Gallery at the corner of Lafayette & Grant, next to SweetNess 7 Cafe. The opening is from 7pm-10pm. Anyone who has seen Jay's photos knows he has a eye for the aesthetic, and this show is guaranteed not to disappoint. See you there!
